前言：

去年出版的《四代香港人》曾引起廣泛關注和討論，有評論指以世代論斷香港人模糊了社會中各式身分的位置。在香港的歷史當中，階級和性別，曾經（或仍然？）深切影響一個人的成長至其後的社會角色。這一點，在女性身上尤其顯著。我們不禁想像：要是從香港女性的角度來重寫《四代香港女人》，那會是怎樣的歷史故事？

過去三十年，可說是香港政府及社會對女性地位「最大幅度」的提升，但不同世代的香港女性所需要的幸福快樂，並不只是跟男性一樣有書讀有工開。情慾不公義（erotic injustice）在男女人口比例愈趨失衡，港男大舉北上求親的情况下，更讓女性處於下風。20╱30╱40╱50╱60 歲的香港女人正在經歷什麼？她們的沮喪和希望在哪裏？

何式凝和何翹楚嘗試採訪問不同年齡層、不同字母代號的女性，整合她們和自身的視覺，重新審視、編寫香港社會的演變，既補足了原來的世代論述，另方面以女性延伸到的家庭、性慾、愛情等概念來認清香港，得以超越世代論述的概略描寫。是為「還看世代？論香港女人」系列，今天為首篇，20 出頭的小妮子們。

二十出頭的零點 X 憧憬

「我將來的生活，一定會過得比她好。」這是我們訪問20 到25 歲的女性時最常聽到的一句話。那個「她」不是別人，而是被訪者自己的母親。

1983-1988 年間出生的她們，活脫脫就是人們口中的「新一代」。她們被呂大樂歸類為香港的「第四代人」——我恐怕她們會抗議，因為按出生年份來劃分，三十出頭的我竟然跟她們同代。對這些女孩子來說，30 歲已經很遙遠。50 歲的何式凝，正是她們母親的那一脫人。我們三個世代，不管什麼血型星座，在訪談與寫作的過程中，築起了誇代對談的空間。

我們初步訪問了十位「年輕港女」，想了解她們對自己和將來的看法。談及母親，在於揭示這些「新生代」如何承接和推翻社會中對女性的想像或要求。

禮服蒙面俠的破滅與重生

對於婚姻，年輕女子心底也有嚮往。《長腿叔叔》、《美少女戰士》和《夢幻街少女》等日本動畫是她們的童年伴侶，還有無數的流行文化符號來自電視劇和情歌。「那些幸福故事中必然有個對女主角很好的男人，禮服蒙面俠就是我的初戀情人！」當時只得七八歲的J 已經開始漫長的受荼毒之旅。不過，她們漸漸發現，跟男人有關的幸福並不如想像中簡單。

大學二年級的Y 以為上了大學就會找到男朋友，結果她跟女同學一起失望了，念社會科學的她發現「原來很困難，身邊全是女孩子」。她們又嫌僅有的同齡男生「高分低能」。身邊也有很多例子給她們證實沒有天長地久。到廿二三歲，她們承認在香港找尋理想對象有一定困難。因此，她們的幸福藍圖中，男人的重要性雖有多有少，但不會百分百投入爭取。

年輕女子無論來自單親或雙親家庭，在「成為女人」的路上，母親的形象多半發揮影響。她們口中的幸福藍圖，往往建基於母親在成長經歷中的缺失，甚至是「錯誤」。

50 歲上下的母親們，正正搭上了香港人數眾多的「戰後嬰兒」尾班車。在女兒心目中，她們終身可悲的根源，來自「沒選擇」、「沒機會受教育」。其實她們的母親也有基本學歷，只是能夠上大學的人數相對很少。10歲獲得居港權，現就讀港大的Y 說：「媽咪沒學過英文，在香港，識英文始終是adifferent class（不同階層）。」無論是否擁有大學程度，她們自覺比起母親優勝，因為她們「沒有跟時代脫節」。在知識型經濟和終身學習的宣傳中，她們的本錢是掌握學習機會和豐厚資訊來源，也是母親那一代女性輸蝕的地方。

「到我48 歲，我將擁有我的記憶、經驗、事業、興趣。我相信自己能夠獨立自主，不用忍受沒有愛的婚姻生活。」19 歲的L 想像的幸福，完全跟男人無關。「首先，我的起點不是從女性出發囉，而是一個人，作為一個人去設想。」L 覺得同輩女生相信男人會帶來幸福是「白癡」的想法。她不能接受自己當家庭主婦，煮飯畀老公食。她只相信自己的人生態度，對世界好奇和對知識渴求，將引領她接觸多元化的事物。

V 念社會學，21 歲，她定義的幸福有一半需要來自男人。她希望到了40 歲「最好做半職，上午工作，下午送仔女返學，晚上去學畫畫。跟老公可以輪流發展自己的興趣，星期一三五我去學，星期二四六他去學，星期日家庭日。」她的參考文獻是《珠光寶氣》。「司棋姐也是這樣教女，老公要有經濟基礎，賺錢比我多。我希望將來有老公分擔一下生活重擔，不需要自己做到最強。」即使V 抱有嫁人的夢想，也有心理準備「如果經濟情况不夠好，我自己掙錢請工人也可以」。

「理想對象要有自己的堅持，要照顧到家庭，不用很有錢，但要有經濟基礎——我知在香港很難找！哈。」今年大學畢業的K 說。24 歲的J 只曾有過半年拍拖經驗，但她覺得「應該總會找到，如果找不到也沒辦法。」法律系H 已經打定輸數：「到我40 歲，有伴侶當然好，沒有也沒辦法，我希望至少有過戀愛經驗。

未必沒有男人就不幸福，如果婚姻令我沒自由、不開心，沒有更好。」綜觀年輕女子的幸福藍圖，她們難以想像沒有愛情的婚姻，男人依然佔一席位。一方面不敢盡情幻想美滿婚姻，另一方面，由於自覺曾受教育和能夠掌握資訊，婚姻成為她們可攻可守的領域，不像她們的母親般「無路可逃」。

「其實我清楚自己要什麼」

呂大樂說第四代香港人的特徵是「沒個性」，習慣被父母安排好生活中的一切，只知道自己不想怎樣，卻不知道自己想怎樣。林奕華在《等待香港：青春篇》中，就他所認識的香港年輕人，下了重重的批評——他們自認「普通人」，甘於平庸，沒有改變現狀的勇氣和承擔，偏偏這個社會還高舉「創意」的口號。對年輕人的鞭撻，鞭鞭有力，可能是愛之深責之切，不過似乎我們還未曾聽見年輕人的聲音。

這十個訪問的結果，最教我們訝異的是，不論出身背景和階級，二十出頭的年輕女子可以清清楚楚表達她們對生活的要求。飛黃騰達和出人頭地不是終極目標，她們最強調的是不可以死做爛做，「工作」僅是生活的一部分，主要是應付開支，談不上「事業」。未畢業的Y說：「從來沒聽過人說工作有任何好處，總是說人事複雜，又要加班，壓力大，聽見就恐怖。」她們不期望工作如何偉大，只希望下班和放假可擁有自己的餘暇，見朋友、上興

「太叻會好辛苦」可以成為控方證據：都說新一代嬌生慣養，怕捱，缺乏韌力和意志（台灣稱他們為「草莓族」，一壓就爛）。

可是，我們發現，她們「辛苦」的意思，其實是重複去幹沒意義的、沒有滿足感的工作。H 直言她要追求的是「Quality oflife」。雖然她們才二十出頭，有些甚至從未全職工作，但早就明白，現在香港社會裏沒有多少工作可以讓人體現自己的價值，發揮創造力，讓生命和青春不枉過。成年人或許都接受了朝九晚九的生產模式，於所謂經濟大轉型中，無可奈何地跟隨規則，新一代卻直接指出他們「一點也不開心」。

並不吸引的白手興家史

對她們來說，「香港人拼搏精神」只是遙遠而不吸引的神話。戰後嬰兒曾經赤手空拳打天下，當時的歷史處境讓他們的付出有機會得到超額回報。可是一出生已是香港經濟空前繁榮的八十年代，她們一邊長大一邊敏銳地發現，那些日做夜做的成年人，並沒有獲得優質生活，甚至隨着全球金融一體化，生產方式和回報變得動盪而脆弱。她們口中的「平凡」生活，從微小而不能致富的興趣找尋意義，其實可被理解為軟性的對抗——用最低限度的方式參與這個生產遊戲，但從不敢寄予厚望。如此一來，香港社會其實有沒有權對他們抱有任何期望？尤其當政府的文化政策或推動創意工業（的口號）對年輕人毫無實際幫助。19 歲的L 說：「大人其實又有幾大？你們笑我那一套很傻，但起碼我開心。」
